Puto - Filipino Rice Cake


Puto is a steamed rice cake, served with melted cheese or slices of salted eggs on top, an all-time favourite, popular merienda (morning or afternoon snack ) in the Philippines. The original recipe calls for soaked ground rice but just like any other recipes, people do a lot of modification, to make it easier and taste better.
